Terms of service
These terms bind each person who uses Tideglyph. South African law governs them. The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 give you rights that no clause here can remove.
What Tideglyph is
Tideglyph gives you a daily reading from your birth chart, and a private journal beside it. Each reading is a prompt for reflection. It is not a prediction, and it is not advice.
Tideglyph never tells you what to do about your health, your money or a relationship. Ask a qualified person for that advice.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
- Give a true email address, and keep it current. We send each notice to that address.
- An account belongs to one person. Do not share your sign-in.
- Keep your password secret. Write to the support address at once if another person reached your account.
The free trial
Each new account gets 7 days of the daily reading free of charge. We ask for no card for the trial. After the trial, the daily reading stops until you buy a plan. Your record stays.
Prices
Each price is in South African rand. Paystack takes the payment on its own page.
| Product | Price | How you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Annual | R999 | Each year, until you cancel |
| Monthly | R129 | Each month, until you cancel |
| Natal report | R349 | Once |
| Year ahead forecast | R299 | Once |
A plan starts when Paystack confirms the payment. Paystack then charges your card at the start of each new period. We give you 30 days notice by email before a price rises. A new price starts at your next renewal, never in a period you already paid for.
Cancel a plan
Sign in, open your account, and choose "Cancel the plan". Then confirm the cancel. Paystack makes no further charge, and we send you an email with the end date. Your plan stays open to the end of the period you paid for.
If the cancel fails, write to the support address from the email address on your account. We then cancel the plan for you.
The refund policy states when we refund a payment.
The daily letter
Each daily letter has a pause link. A pause stops the letter. It does not cancel your plan, and it does not stop a charge. Resume the letter from today's reading whenever you like.
What you may not do
- Do not use Tideglyph for an unlawful purpose.
- Do not try to reach another person's account or record.
- Do not probe, overload or copy the service by an automated tool.
- Do not resell the service, or a reading, without our written agreement.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks one of these rules. We tell you by email first, unless the delay puts another person at risk.
What we owe you
We give the service as it stands, and we do not promise that it runs without an interruption. Section 54 of the Consumer Protection Act gives you the right to a service of reasonable quality. Nothing here removes that right.
Our total liability for every claim together is the total you paid us in the three months before the claim. This limit does not apply to gross negligence, fraud, or a liability that the law does not let us limit. We do not owe you an indirect loss, such as a lost profit or a decision you made after a reading.
When the agreement ends
You may stop at any time. Cancel your plan, and ask us to delete your record. We may end the service on 30 days notice by email. A paid period that runs past that date gets a refund for the days we do not supply.
A change to these terms
We give you 30 days notice by email before a change takes effect. You may cancel before that date, and the old terms then hold to the end of your paid period.
A complaint
Write to the support address first, and state what went wrong. We answer within one business day, and we work to settle the complaint within 15 business days. You may also go to a regulator at any time.
